The European Football Union (UEFA) fined two players of Manchester United over the incident after the end of the final match in the Europa League, which “Red Devils” played in May against Ajax.
Phil Jones received a suspension of two matches and a fine of 5,000 euros because he verbally attacked the doping control officer.
Daley Blind will pay a fine of 5,000 euros because, according to UEFA, he broke the anti-doping rules, and Manchester United is fined 10,000 euros for the incidents of these players.
Jones was angry at the doping control officer because, after the game, he did not allow him to shoot with teammates holding a banner in honor of the victims in an attack on Manchester on May 22.
United won the Europa League with a victory over Ajax 2-0, and the match in Stockholm was played two days after the terrorist attack in Manchester, killing 22 people.
Jones will not be in the squad with Real Madrid in the UEFA Supercup, which will be played on August 8 in Skopje.
