Daniel Ricciardo is the surprising winner of the race for the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan, after Daniel greatly coped through the streets of Baku, making maximum use of the “war” led by the two main contenders for the title, Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel.
From the very beginning, it became clear that the race would be as interesting as possible after the start of the clash between Kimi Raikkonen and Valtteri Bottas. It used Sebastian Vettel to climb to second place, starting to breathe in the neck of Lewis Hamilton. Due to the departure of some of the cars, a security vehicle entered several occasions, and a major incident occurred when Hamilton unexpectedly lowered his speed, after which Vettel hit him in the back. The German was punished for this move by ten seconds, but Hamilton’s car was damaged during the collision, so the Mercedes driver also had to go to a pit stop.
After returning, Vettel came in front of the big rival, but too far behind Ricciardo, who did not take advantage of the chance he was given and routinely ride, reached the fifth victory in his career. Botas made a fantastic start at the end, and before the finish line he passed Stroll and climbed to second place, and Williams’ driver ultimately had to satisfy only the third position. Vettel wrapped up the race as fourth-placed, just ahead of Lewis Hamilton, with the two former champions continuing the battle for a new title.
