Judy Murray has allayed fears Andy Murray may miss Wimbledon.
The number one seed is presently battling a hip injury and was forced to drag out of a regular exhibition match at the beginning of the week. And that sparked issues the 30-year-old might be forced to sit down out his title defence at the All England Club, that starts on Monday next week. But mum Judy is assured her boy are going to be match and firing.
She told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: “It was a precaution to drag out of Hurlingham, though the weather was very dangerous therefore it’s unlikely they were getting to get play anyway.
“He’s got another four or 5 days till everything kicks off, therefore hopefully he’ll be fine.
“Andy has been unlucky with a number of diseases [this year] associated an elbow injury, which doesn’t facilitate if you don’t have the maximum amount time to follow or as several matches as you’d like.
“But he loves suburb and he are going to be out there doing his best to do to defend his title.”
